The first day of Baishakh marks the beginning of the Bengali Calender or new year.
The word “Naba” means “New” and “Borsho” means “Year”,thus, “Nababarsho”(New Year) in the Bengali language.
On this auspicious day I wish everyone a heartful and joyous shubho nabobarsho.
